Road Trip from Vancouver to Alberta in 2020

Klaus and I visited Calgary in the summer of 2020. As we all remember, it was the Covid year. We weren’t allowed to travel abroad. So we decided to take a road trip through British Columbia to Calgary. There were good deals in Alberta for tourists from British Columbia. This prompted us to make the trip by car.

We planned to spend a few nights in Revelstoke and Lake Louise along the way.

Revelstoke was a pretty little village. I was impressed by the colorful flat-roof houses.

There are a lot of young people living in the area. It’s a dream to have fun outside. It’s a hiker’s paradise in the summer and one of the most popular ski resorts in BC in the winter.

The next stop was Lake Louise. It was fabulous. we spent three nights at Château Lake Louise. I did not know about it. So it was a huge surprise. When we drove onto the grounds, I thought we are going to visit the bar and then retire to a hotel in the village. We always visit any Fairmont hotel bar. It’s a thing we do.

Lake Louise and the Rocky Mountains. Just spectacular.

On two days we hiked up to a tea house. One hiking trail is almost entirely in the forest. Reaching the second teahouse was rather strenuous. The path led over stone paths and was also in the sun. After the hikes, we treated ourselves to a glass of cool Sauvignon Blanc on the hotel terrace and enjoyed the view of the lake. It was a dream.

  • One thing is the fact that one of the most common incentives for making use of your cards is a cash-back and also rebate provision. Generally, you’ll get 1-5 back upon various expenditures. Depending on the credit card, you may get 1 again on most expenditures, and 5 again on buying made using convenience stores, filling stations, grocery stores and also ‘member merchants’.

  • Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.

  • Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say you have done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Chrome. Excellent Blog!
