New York – The Advent Calendar

New York, the city that never sleeps. The image above shows all items included in the Advent calendar. It’s a Christmas countdown well suited for young people and grown ups. The calendar is available on my Etsy shop.

My two favorite cities are Paris and New York. Both are very different in so many ways, but especially the architecture. Creating the Paris Advent calendar last year was work I truly enjoyed. It was obvious that I had to create an Advent calendar for this city as well.

I have have visited New York a few times over the years. And every time I was amazed about it’s size, the architecture, the vibrance it has. I also watch every movie filmed in New York, no matter how bad it may be… I just can’t get tired of looking at those buildings. By the way, I can highly recommend “UNcoupled” a recent addition to Netflix. Lots of glamour shots.

Most buildings for this Advent calendar were inspired by actual houses from Brooklyn, SoHo, Upper East and West sides, Lower Manhattan, a famous jewelry store, and of course Miss Liberty.

The set includes 25 buildings that can be filled with sweets or little gifts, and 5 decorative Christmas trees. All items are cut and scored. All you have to do is fold, glue, fill, and give it to a loved one.
