New Year’s Resolutions

I do not make New Year’s resolutions. However I do think about what the New Year may or should bring. But then I approach things my way.

January 2015 I bought a sketch book. I can’t remember why, but it may have been because my Instagram feed was full of drawings and sketches. I used to paint. But that was before digital cameras came on the market. Then photography changed everything.

These are a few samples of what my sketch book contains. Nothing fancy, just whatever popped into my mind. The only rule is, no fixing, adjusting any of the drawings the next day. Some were so ugly, that I tore them out. That’s allowed… after all, I do not want to look at ugliness.

Sometimes I do not sketch anything for months. And then out of the blue inspiration strikes…
