New Year’s Eve Party
Tell each guest beforehand to write the following on a piece of paper and bring the notes to the party:
- What was your biggest accomplishment or happiest moment of the past year?
- What do you want to achieve in the coming year?
The notes can be signed or not. It’s up to you how you want to handle it.
At the night of the party have two large containers at the entrance clearly marked as past year and new year. When you greet your guests tell them to place their notes in the according container.
Before dessert is served, each guest can draw a note from the past year container and read it out loud. After dessert share the wishes and dreams of the coming year with each other.
New Year’s Eve Party Invitation
Joanna Fuchs
The New Year’s rolling in;
We’re planning quite a bash.
We need to have you here.
So it will be a smash!
We really want to see you;
We hope that you can make it.
So help us make our party fun,
Or we might have to fake it!
Just bring your awesome self (or “selves”)
And what you want to drink.
And we’ll provide the other stuff,
Including the kitchen sink!
When you let us know you’ll come,
We’ll smile and shout “Whoopee!”
So sit right down and phone us
With your kind R.S.V.P!
