Keeping Christmas Alive… Just a Little Longer

Since we buy our Christmas tree from a tree farm, it has been normal that it is still fresh in mid-January. It stays decorated until January 6th. After that the decorations are removed. Only the fairy lights stay. Because the tree still looks lovely with the lights turned on during those dark days of winter. However, the tree is no longer supplied with water. As it slowly dries out the sweet smell of tree sap starts filling the room. If you want to enjoy the scent a little longer, you can cut a few branches off the tree, brush off the needles and fill them into a glass. Put the glass on the desk and smell on it from time to time. It is aromatherapy!

I bought this beautiful, silver plated Amalfi Travelling Candle Holder probably about 20 years ago at the Mall of America. I have taken it with me every time I had to travel for work. It gives you little sense of home in an anonymous, uninspired hotel room.

I tried to find the candle holder online, but had no luck. It looks like Roberts & Dore are the distributor.
