As seen in the photo above, it really does not take a lot to create a Christmas atmosphere at home. It is kept very minimalist but yet so festive. A few eucalyptus sprays, candles, retro patio lights, plus a large Strala star by IKEA.
Every year in late November or early December I make a mandatory trip to IKEA. I want to be sure every single item of their Christmas collection is still in stock. I’m always amazed to see what new products their designers came up with. It never fails to inspire a new decoration for our home.
I would take that IKEA kitchen in a heartbeat..! The colours are amazing.
I don’t know how practical an upside down hanging Christmas tree chandelier is, if it hangs over the dining table. There may be a lot of needles falling… Nevertheless it looks amazing. On the right is an idea easy to recreate. It’s a bunch of silver baubles hanging on velvet ribbons. Fast to make, and so pretty.

For the creation of this amazingly dramatic Christmas baubles installation it’s probably best to use plastic ornaments to avoid breakage. I wish I would have a space in our apartment for it. I love drama when it comes to seasonal decorations, and this is drama!
If you choose to attempt to recreate this decoration, keep it away from a high traffic area. And it’s probably not child or pet proof.
