All the Gold that Glitters a Little
We had guests over on the day before Christmas Eve. Therefore I wanted to make sure the table setting would match the meal and the season. And it had to be elegant but without any fuss.
The table was set with a dark blue piece of velvet serving as a table cloth. The contrast with the decorations made the matte gold details pop. All decorations are out of the Christmas chest except the tealight holders are new. And the matte gold cutlery is a new addition to the household as well. I just could not resist…
At either end of the table was a small vignette with pine cones, glitter leaves, a gold ornaments and a German Christmas star folded out of paper.
