Instructions to Assemble the New York Advent Calendar

Material & Tools
Assembling: glue stick or glue pen, liquid glue. And if available liquid glue and a rigid small brush.
Scissors if bottom flap corners need a tiny trim
Fillers: treats and tissue paper to loosely wrap the items before placing them in the box.
Tape if box bottom does not stay closed
I find it easier to fold the paper first towards the front, and then towards the back. A metal ruler can also be helpful to create a straight fold.
Buildings with Gabled Roofs (3, 5, 6, 8, 22)
Fold along all scored lines (pink dashed lines).
Lay the house with outside down, flat on the table. Fold wall 3 and bottom 2 toward middle. With a glue stick put glue on flap 1.
Let it dry.
Then put glue on the roof flaps. Lay the house on its side on the table. With the end of a letter opener press down the glued flaps.
Fill the house. Close bottom flaps in the order from 1 to 3.
Buildings with Flat Roofs
Fold along all scored lines (pink dashed lines).
Lay the house with outside down, flat on the table. Fold wall 3 and bottom 2 toward middle. With a glue stick put glue on flap 1.
Let it dry.
Then put glue on the roof flaps. Lay the house on its side on the table. With the end of a ruler press down the glued flaps.
Fill the house. Close bottom flaps in the order from 1 to 3.
Buildings with Separate Bottoms (2, 6, 13, 14, 15)
Fold along all scored lines (pink lines).
Lay the house with outside down, flat on the table. Glue bottom to back side of front part. Let it dry.
Fold wall 3 and bottom 2 toward middle. With a glue stick put glue on flap 1. Let it dry.
Then put glue on the roof flaps. Lay the house on its side on the table. With the end of a ruler press down the glued flaps.
Fill the house. Close bottom flaps and secure with a bit of tape.
Flat Iron
Fold along all scored lines (pink dashed lines): both tower parts, bottom and roof.
Glue bottom part to front of building. Let dry.
Glue front and back of building together. Let dry.
Glue roof to building.
Christmas Trees
Fold front of tree parts along score lines in half.
Put glue on back (white part) of trees.
Line up and glue parts together.
Cut off white edges.
Miss Liberty
Fold along scored lines (pink dashed lines) on all 3 parts.
BOX
Glue flap 1 to other end of box. Let it dry.
Glue top flaps to inside of box walls. Press them down and let dry.
MS. LIBERTY
Above the folded part glue front and back together. Let it dry.
Slide bottom of statue into slit on top of box.
Fold flaps apart, apply glue, and press to top of box.
Fill the box and use tape to close it.
