A Serenade for New Year’s Eve
Author unknown
The old year departed, how swiftly it flew,
‘Tis gone, and with rapture we welcome the new;–
We trust a bright morning will dawn on your eyes,–
And sun beams unclouded illumine the skies.
Then wake from your slumbers, our serenade hear,–
We wish you a happy, –a happy New-Year!
