A Christmas Log - Christmas Decorating - Deck the Halls

A little decoration for a table or side board which can be accomplished after a walk through the woods.

Materials

8 - 10 long and straight cinnamon sticks
15 - 20 thin tree sticks
3 small ornaments
1 yard of ribbon
thin wire

How it's done

The cinnamon sticks for this project used are 6 inches long. Cinnamon sticks of such length are best found at a store which sells spices open. The wood was found on the ground next to a tree.

Cut the wood sticks to the same length as your cinnamon sticks are. Once you have enough wood and cinnamon sticks for a nice size bundle, arrange them to a log and wrap a rubber band around it. Wrap some wire around the bundle and secure the sticks. Take off the rubber band. On top of the wire tie the ribbon to a nice bow. For the final touch add 2 or 3 ornaments. The decorative pieces are tied to wire which is secured around the bow.
